Event Background

One of the largest and most engaged overseas groups that we have are the Old Suttonians now based in the USA. Given the School's rich heritage of attracting English-Speaking Union (ESU) scholars, we have a strong base of American Old Suttonians, along with a large number of English OS who have since emigrated to the States.

With that in mind, we were delighted to host an OS reunion at the Yale Club in February 2023 as a way of developing our longstanding US connections. James Thomas (Headmaster), Kitty Jack-Thomas and Will Radford (Director of Admissions and Development) were joined by six Old Suttonians who had attended the School between 1962 and 1979 collectively. Attending were John Cox (1963 C), Mark Edwards (1976 F), Richard Nichols (1978 L), Michael Darling (1979 L) and Samer Taki (1979 W), as well as John Marshman (1975 L), who kindly facilitated the Yale Club booking for us. For the Headmaster, this was a first opportunity to travel to meet some of our overseas Old Suttonians and he was delighted to be greeted by such an engaged group.

Event Information

Following on from last year's event, we are delighted to announce that we will be returning to New York this year to host another OS reunion on Saturday 18th May. It will take place in Coco's at the Colette Club (37th floor of the GM Building), which has kindly been booked for us by Michael Darling (1979 L).

The event, which is due to start at 7.00pm, will be an informal opportunity for OS based in the US to get to know one another, as well as a chance to chat about the School with the James Thomas (Headmaster) and Will Radford (Director of Admissions and Development), as we look ahead to the 450th anniversary in 2025/2026. If you would like to attend this free event, please click on the registration link below.
