After the enforced-hiatus of 2021, we are pleased to announce that the OS vs 1st VII Netball fixture will return in 2022. The match, which will be held in the Sydney Wooderson Sports Centre, will take place on Saturday 5th March at 12.30pm. The match for the Worsfold Cup has proved popular in recent years, so we would ask that you let us know as soon as possible whether you would be available to play.
The matches have always been tightly-contested and played to a high standard. In the first match, played in 2018, the OS team came away with a narrow 36-30 victory, before a resurgent 1st VII reversed the result in 2019 with a 36-25 victory. In 2020, shortly before the country went into lockdown, the OS returned to winning ways with an impressive 48-36 win.
The OS Girls team is being managed once again by Lydia Davies (2015 H), so if you would like to register your interest in playing, please get in touch with her directly. We would welcome all OS to come along and support and a match tea will be provided in TC's afterwards.
