Event Information

Following on from the success of the last two quizzes, we have managed to convince quizmaster David Gilman to return for one final time to present The Quiz Factor on Friday 3rd May 2024. The quiz is due to start at 7pm in the Refectory. It is open to parents, past-parents, Old Suttonians, staff and any guests you would like to bring.  Tickets cost £12.50 each, or £90.00 for a full table of eight guests.

Last year, we were delighted to have 27 tables competing, with a total of 240 parents, staff, governors and Old Suttonians supporting the event. We are hoping to achieve similar support this year, so please do book yourself a table. If you are unable to get a whole table together, don’t worry, we will make up tables based on year groups or association to the School.  The ticket price includes a selection of cheese and chutneys on each table. A cash and card bar will also be available on the night.

The quiz night is intended to be a fun, but competitive, evening. To quote our quizmaster, “This will be a quiz like no other. If you’re usually put off by the highbrow, intellectual nature of quizzes, then this is for you! My day job is working in TV so needless to say there will be a big screen involved, and there might even be one or two familiar faces. I can’t promise you Mastermind, but I guarantee you'll have fun!”

The event is being co-organised and managed by the School’s Junior Leadership programme, which provides First and Second Form pupils with the chance to develop leadership skills through project work like this event. This year, all profits from the event will be in aid of Dandelion Time, which is a local, nature based charity that works with children and their wider family to overcome emotional issues or difficulties. The Charity helps them find opportunities for change and rebuilding relationships, whilst creating happy memories along the way. We will be running a raffle during the event, so if you would like to donate a prize, please do email development@svs.org.uk.

The booking process is now open. Individual tickets are £12.50, or if you are booking a full table of eight tickets, the total cost is £90.00. To book any tickets please follow the following booking instructions:

All Bookings - In order to book any tickets, you will need an existing online account on SVS Foundation Connect. To register on the site, please click here.

Booking an individual ticket for yourself - Having registered on SVS Foundation Connect, please click on the button below and complete the mandatory booking fields. If you would like to be sat on a table with friends, please complete the 'who would you like to be sat with' field and we will add you to the table requested, wherever possible. 

Booking tickets for a group, or table - Having registered on SVS Foundation Connect, please click on the button below and complete the mandatory booking fields. As you are booking tickets for more than just yourself, please note that the booking system is set up so that the first ticket will always be allocated to you. As such, if you are booking a total of three tickets, the system will only request the details of your two guests, rather than all three of you. Please ensure that you only provide the names of your guests, when prompted to do so (rather than providing your own details again). Please also ensure that you do not use your own email address for any of your guests - the booking system requires guest email addresses to be unique. This allows us to provide event updates to everyone attending, rather than just the individual who has booked.
