Old Suttonian Martin Toler (1952 W) recently realised a lifelong dream of being a pilot, by taking the controls of a small plane for the first time at the age of 88. He was watched by his friends and family and even made it onto the local news. Martin was chauffeur-driven to Goodwood Aerodrome, where he was met by his co-pilot for a cup of tea and a briefing.

The experience was made possible by Home Instead of Chichester and Bognor Regis (which provides home care services to older individuals) and the Goodwood Aerodrome. Home Instead has a new initiative which tried to make the dreams of its clients come true.
