Following the Government announcement that schools will be involved in mass testing of pupils and staff, we have been busy transforming the Sports Hall into a testing centre.
We have been trialling the process with our on-site staff and are ready to be fully functioning for when pupils and staff return.
The process involves the use of a lateral flow device – the same system used in mass asymptomatic test sites. A swab is taken from the throat and nose and the result is available in 30 minutes.
