We are delighted to announce that Old Suttonian Grace Scrivens (2022 F) has been named as the captain of the England squad for the Women's Under 19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa. This is an amazing acheivement and is testament to her hard work, determination and skill.
This is the first time the best Under 19 cricketers have come together from the women’s game to compete in an ICC Global Event. The tournament will see 16 countries competing in a knock-our format from 14th to 29th January 2023. England's first game will be on Sunday 15th January against Zimbabwe, at the JB Marks Oval and all matches can be watched live via the ICC website.
The selection process was chaired by Richard Bedbrook, Head of England Women Performance Pathways, who commented that "The ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup will provide an exciting platform for the best young players around the world and it will be really exciting to see our players compete against their peers in a global event."
Congratualtions to Grace, the whole School community wishes you well and will be cheering you on!
